I truly love a feel-good animal story! In today's evil environment, animals still bring us moments of joy. Thanks for that, and much love to you and your new fur baby!

Congratulations to all on this wonderful day of joy! And thank you so much, Mike, for helping the woman with the dog who was being attacked. What a miracle you were there and could help. Those of us with small dogs especially know how vulnerable our pups can be. Sounds like you saved the day for many! God bless you! Many happy years with lucky, Dbanjo! What a wonderful story of love and rescue. Such a beautiful boy!

I remember something you wrote about rescuing a couple of animals and your credit card was red hot after vet bills. We save them even if they bury us in debt. Worth it.

Yes it is...and animals are so deserving. Love is so much better than money...and the one precious thing you can't buy!

First thought this morning: look at the adorable pic of Dbanjo looking out the door to Ghost Gardens. He sure has mastered the technique for digging planting spots. If he gets to perfecting the fence post hole digging, he could be a real money maker. Dig HERE, now every 10 feet! (Fence project here is why I 🤔)

Have a great Ghost Gardens weekend to all!

My dog Abbey knew she was only allowed to dig in one spot so she'd sometimes go crazy there. When she did I'd ask her where she is digging to China. Then I'd give her my order for Chinese food. Currently it looks as if Dbanjo could start the post holes.

I absolutely LOVE your pup!!!! You can tell he has a great BIG heart. (All dogs do...but you can see Dbanjo wears his on all four paws it's so big!) He looks incredibly loving and loveable.

I rescued an 11 year old Pomeranian and she was the absolute love and light of my life...she waited until our anniversary together and passed away days later. She lived to be 19.

Many congratulations on the love and companionship you and Dbanjo will exchange with each other. Nothing compares.

P.S. I just looked over my comment and realised how many times I expressed the word "LOVE". Is there any other creature that inspires a human to mention the word "LOVE" so many times in one short paragraph?!

He's beautiful! What breeds do ya think he is?

Add Toxi to yer list of rescuers. I had a coy-dog who was dumped at the side of the road with her 11 litter mates. She was a little kooky. Border collie smart (mom) and Wily Coyote crazy. Her name was Chloee ( named before I ever heard of a Kardashian) and we called her Koo-koo for chlo-chlo puffs 🤣

I have two kitties who are the spawn of the feral Mamacat, and Queen of the colony I care for. Before we finally trap/spay/released seven females I was feeding and building winter shelters on the property for over 40 rodent control units.

I socialized and homed over 80 kittens in four years.

Now we have only the two indoor kitties, and just the original Mamacat and her mini me daughter. No one else survived.

Sorry for the essay. 😆

Lab for sure. Maybe some Australian shepherd and start guessing. He’s supper mellow. Do you still have Chloe?

Expand full comment

No. She went to the big rainbow bridge in the sky in 2014. Broke my heart so terribly. I probably will never get another dog. She was a med-large 70 lbs pooch and lived to be 14. Pretty long life for a dog that size.

I’ve never met him but I believe he’s hiding the cause of his medical crisis. That silence isn’t saving others from CV19 injury. Are they paid to be $ilent or threatened. Danny Bonaduce is another one.
