I ordered a new battery for a garden tool from Amazon--$149. They get my money and tell me it’s on the way. A week later they can’t find it. Next day they find it. Tracking shows it moving again. A week later they lose it again. Next day they find it. Moving again. Tracking shows it is in my city and will be delivered by 7PM. Seven comes and goes. They reply that this time it really is fucking lost—they aren’t kidding. They say they will happily return my $149 that they’ve held onto, used, invested, earned interest on, awarded company bonuses with and more for over a month. Now, duplicate their scam times millions. Millions of people waiting for their new barbie doll.
I can not express how much I love you turning the tables on those assholes!!! Reminds my of father in law who would get solicitor phone call scams and he’d keep them on the phone as long as possible. “Hold on while I find my credit card.” Then leave them hanging 🤣

A couple related incidents: I ordered a multi-pack of batteries on eBay. Normally eBay tells me when it is shipped, and provides a tracking number. After three days I got neither. I messaged the seller and asked when it would be shipped. They said "soon". Two days later I asked to cancel the order but was told I couldn't.
The next day a package arrived from Walmart. It was my order. Then I knew they were a dropshipper. I had already told eBay I didn't receive the order. The next day ANOTHER package was delivered by UPS. It was the same order, shipped again because I complained. And the next day ANOTHER one came by FedEx. No shit. I got THREE items for the price of one because the seller didn't want a negative feedback on eBay. Lucky me.
Second one: yesterday I dropped off an order for Pop Rocks at my Post Office, and got a receipt with tracking number. I always check them later on my eBay account. It said "Delivered - individual picked up at Post Office". That was me, it was dropped off, not delivered. I messaged the buyer about the tracking. It still says the same thing, even though the package has been sent to the next distribution center. I have a call coming from my Postmaster in a bit to straighten this out. Normally the tracking is very reliable, and shows each place and time that the package was scanned.
Today I had three orders for eclipse glasses. I put them out on the porch, and the carrier picked them up for me, but it was a fill-in guy, my main guy is on vacay. I'll have to make sure they get scanned.

I loved messing with them. I would interrupt them and say, "I'm in my underwear right now."
🤣
Great stuff, Dmike!
“So...tell me what you’re wearing”
“I’m wearing sultry sweatpants, garden dirt stained T-shirt, & I’m coiffed like Cobain”
You sure know how to turn a girl on with that description 🤣🤣🤣
You're in good company Mike. Mick Jagger just turned 80 today!
Very entertaining!
And I LOVE me some (older) Black Keys
and Steam cards
:)
