I ordered a new battery for a garden tool from Amazon--$149. They get my money and tell me it’s on the way. A week later they can’t find it. Next day they find it. Tracking shows it moving again. A week later they lose it again. Next day they find it. Moving again. Tracking shows it is in my city and will be delivered by 7PM. Seven comes and goes. They reply that this time it really is fucking lost—they aren’t kidding. They say they will happily return my $149 that they’ve held onto, used, invested, earned interest on, awarded company bonuses with and more for over a month. Now, duplicate their scam times millions. Millions of people waiting for their new barbie doll.
Bank of America has been repeatedly sued for doing something very similar. They charge their FREE checking account customers a user fee. They do this to millions of their customers until they get caught. They make $800 million dollars and then agree to settle out of court for $300 million then repeat the scam again.
Some of you may not know I use to run a reverse scamming website called got mike? Most of the scammers came from internet café’s in Nigeria. Sadly I didn’t save my reverse scams except one. I posted it on my SS awhile back. Basically what I did was agree to give the scammer money. He tells me what town, what Western Union, to send the money to and I’d send it to a Western Union twenty miles away. The scammer would then go there at his own expense, not find the money, and send me a very angry email. I’d then say I was sorry and then tell him the money was re-sent. I would then send the money to a Western Union 10 miles away in the opposite direction. I attempted to get the scammers to do a complete circle of around six cities. I was successful several times.
An email recently came into my inbox from a supposed Substack author asking to discuss something with me privately. I went over to the authors Substack and found this.
I decide to play along.

I really need to get the scammers address and get off the sweaty card. I need the scammer to want cash and then I’ll do my old tricks of sending it to other Western Union addresses or use their local police station as the money transfer pick up.
Jeanne Calment lived to be 122 years and 164 days. I am going to attempt to break that. I’ve bumped up my age to 80 now. Here we go—age scam Safeway.
Success.
VRR Fun Concert Fact: I saw the Black Keys in a small club in downtown Seattle maybe in the late 90’s early 2000’s, all a blur now. The club was packed way over capacity. I positioned myself close to a side door to escape should things go wrong. It’s happened before at many events just like this. There was a security guard by the door. The door got pushed open, a surge happened and I was pushed out of the club and the door slammed shut. I went home. Enjoyed the three songs I heard.
I can not express how much I love you turning the tables on those assholes!!! Reminds my of father in law who would get solicitor phone call scams and he’d keep them on the phone as long as possible. “Hold on while I find my credit card.” Then leave them hanging 🤣
Great stuff, Dmike!
