Definite yes on the back pay! Bus drivers face dangers that you can't even imagine or predict. For many years I rode the bus to downtown then transfered to the 3 or 4 to chug up very steep sketchy James for work at Harborview. Was able to exit at the top (sometimes got off midway if things got too weird) and was very glad of that. That route (and others) was (at that time) a nexus of very interesting and unpredictable behavior. Definitely dangerous for the operator!!!!
