I recall a movie as a kid about someone being struck with the ability to see the future. It was initially a gift, but soon the weight of knowing where everything was headed became a curse. It was the burden of never being able to enjoy the days prior to something ominously approaching and all the while knowing no one would believe you if you told them. It's somewhat of a Hollywood trope looking back at it. Our lives have been directed by media for so long that we know little without it. In my military years, I would hear people quoting scripted lines from movies while doing real actual dangerous shit. Life not imitating art but being infected by it. Then conveniently came the Matrix et al, and we were inducted into a realm of questioned reality. Half the people went subsurface into the bowels of the net and began to tunnel, seeking answers and truths. There were desecrated grounds. fools gold, ancient civilizations and people pretending to be things they could not possibly have been. Nothing was as it was labeled or supposed to be. Our icons were false and laughed at us behind the dark curtains. Some whistled as they walked by these innumerable shallow graves of consciousness. Others have those hidden rooms with walls covered in tacks, yarn, post it notes and photos of people connected to seemingly random acts that when finally connected could show without a doubt that there has been an ongoing massive conspiratorial crime against us all.
You fall asleep with this gift and wake up wondering when the proverbial shoe will drop. Will there be a day of great reckoning? Will the sleep / fearful mass snap out of the dopamine and pharmaceutical induced walking, working, spending coma?
It's as if you can see the pieces assembling for the next constructed chaotic portrait of insanity. Fire / extreme cold in ways and places it shouldn't. The Jenga (or DJenga) game like removal of piece after piece from the societal base continues. Reading the word rage as I read your writing floats up the band that used to be against the machine. Even the song that screamed "Wake up!" was a forgery of anger and truth.

Was watching some post Lahaina inferno drone footage today and comparing it to the Paradise, CA fire. Looked very similar. In both instances the main streets were pretty much clear of any debris. You'd think that in the Maui fire, what with there being "hurricane force winds", that there would be more wind blown structure, ashes, stuff, etc. in the streets.
In 2021 hawaii threw Chloe Mrozak - a nurse from the mainland, in JAIL after she falsified a covid vaccine card. And the vaxxed are susceptible to mind-controlling frequencies to dampen their passion, and I suspect all of us are under some level of that hacking of our emotions.
