morning Mike, you always get my brain thinking, possibly a connection from my brief time in the pacific NW.

speaking of concerts, the first ever for me was Elton John in a big venue in Seattle. So thinking the Kingdome? Woulda been around 1980 -81

Best I can recall it was supposed to be my father and mother but for whatever reason my mother could not make it (they fought a lot, especially when we lived up there), so it was my father and myself. don't recall much about the concert, other than about as soon as it started the couple sitting next to me 'rolled one up' and offered it to me. for better or worse, I did not take a hit... did not even know what the hell it was! but this would come just a few short years later, after the old man brought us down here to Texas, as the next concert I went to was The Who in the Astrodome. Definitely remember this one even though my head was spinning from alcohol and my first taste of the ganja

On a more somber note, shortly after rising this morning, my wife comes in and says she has to go over to see our neighbor across the street because she has a big thing going, but cannot tell me cause her husband does not even know yet.. Later as i am walking out to go to work, my wife says our neighbors oldest son was just diagnosed with some rare blood cancer--- myelo... something or other.

I know the mother partook in the shots and so did the father, so. naturally I told my wife I am pretty certain how this came about.

Did The Who destroy the stage? I’m hearing a lot of turbo cancer going around.

no stage destruction, but quite a show

wish I saw a show with keith moon on the drum kit -- then there woulda been some destruction for sure -- but that was just a few years before my time

i've heard more stories of cancer DX in the last couple of years than the prior 50 or so and sure as hell not buying the delayed treatment during the lock-downs

just hope this kid's parents pick up on the clue and stop taking these damn boosters, especially since the mother hangs out with my wife quite a bit.

Well... Jazz Alley has a COVID-19 compliance officer! WTF? Typical Seattle woke fascists... The officer is probably armed and ready to terminate any spike proteins that rear their coronas... I would never ever visit such an establishment. One would probably die due to the spike shedding from "compliant" Karens before you made it to the bar...

They spent a lot of money re-configuring the club.A plexiglass stage, plexiglass dining tables and more. Afterward GOV told them they can’t open.I know this because my bus laid over near their club and they kept putting updates on their door. Their sound guy is a bus driver. He’s jabbed and still works at both places.

A friend and his brother used to play on a regular basis at a place called "Fredo's" over there. The Covid con put them under. Millions of business owners across this country got destroyed by the con. Little shops here in Omak had to close while Walsmart stayed open!!!!

But hey, Amazon made SIX BILLION!

sounds good to me. I love Jazz and Blues. There used to be a Jazz club here called "Blues Alley" and I used to there a lot.. and I do love the ALLMAN BROTHERS. There are still couple venues around here Carlyle Club, Birchmere in Arlandia/Arlington,, nothing like the old days. And I am just getting up... I bet Seattle did have cool "Jazz clubs" when I was out there.. I did go the Jimi Hendrix museum .. and lest we forget Nirvana's from out there.. and also went to the Wharf and dined at some of decent restaurants; anyway have a good week, I am working legal issue again.. and need actually get moving.. early. sign.

What makes you think I'm still up at 1am? Oh, okay. But I'm half asleep. I read that as - you were standing on Greg's organ. I had to re-read it.

Those are two bands I never had the pleasure of seeing live. Front and center, awesome.

Is Greg the Allman brother who was married to Cher?

I do remember a song called High Falls, I believe, kind of long, lots of great guitar.

I had forgotten about Taj Mahal.. really awesome.. I have no idea about Cher being married to Gregg Allman,, that sounds like a marriage made in hell... what a mismatch.. and I won't bother to look that up. I need to go and eat some breakfast or coffee.. :)
