After those two 737 Max's crashed, I really don't feel like flying on a Boeing airplane. Zero excuses for a control system that doesn't shut off if the PV (process variable) gets a certain percentage away from the setpoint. This is Process Control 101.
Would have been nice if when the whole TSA started, people boycotted flying until that BS went away. Fast forward to masks and now I get it; 80% of the population is literally stupid. Trained monkeys that operate in packs.
(Edit) I was at the Trader Joe's a couple hours after the 'big announcement'. I was trying to get some chicken thighs and fresh basil for dinner. There was none of either and the place was just mobbed. I asked someone if the store was always this busy and they asked, 'didn't you hear the news?' I'm thinking 'what news'; there's a chicken and basil shortage'. The gal says, "A man in a rest home died of a super contagious virus just up the hill from here!" Well shit! Now I'm thinking, 'So, announce that there's a super deadly, highly contagious virus in the neighborhood and everyone rushes out to the grocery store?!'
"Oh, interesting, no, I hadn't heard."
Just so it wasn't a completely wasted stop, I went into the T Mobile shop. They were wiping everything down with hand sanitizer. It was nearly closing time for them so I thought maybe this was standard procedure. I asked them, only to 'hear the news' again. :rolleyes:
