As a grunt warrior in our war, I have kind of a routine I follow. There’s only X amount of time in a day to get X amount of things done. In this war the things to get done exceeds the allotted time I have to give it. I spend X amount of time researching. I spend X amount of time writing, X amount of time exercising, X amount of time with family, X amount of time answering emails, X amount of time in my garden, X amount of time in the spirit world, and so it feels like I’m pulled in 100 different directions on most days. The other day my wife asked me something and I responded back to her, and she told me I left out two words in the sentence. I told her it saves time. I should have written that sentence—saves time. Click….click.
I am about a month older than you. I guess I am permanently unretired, at the demand of the glober-ment. With 7 more years before I would 'get' my 'full money' back, (ha!) I have no doubt it will be long gone or be in CBDs in which case I would refuse. But it's fun to know how close in age we are, almost sixy whoot.....blessings jackie in Poortland
Sad about his shop burning down. Twice I was leaving for vacation, but had to run back into the house because I forgot something.
First time I smelled a smoldering light switch, so I quickly dissambled the plate and removed the antique dimmer switch from the circuit. Crisis averted.
Second time was a leaking fuel tank on a motorcycle. Took a little longer to remove the tank and clean up the spill.
Shattered. I knew when I read that you were referencing a Stones song. Sure enough. Wow, that photo of them must be when they were teenagers, so young and sexy.
More thoughts later, it's Monday, and I am required to actually leave the house to do a couple errands, one an unpleasant one.
WOW: I also thought about the Stones song.. but I am REALLY sorry about the Custom Garage being burnt to the ground. WOW. Yesterday there was a local car show I used to attend every year, Mother's day car show moved to yesterday., I missed it but just because didn't get the memo about the date move; still recuperating: eyes .. etc. Things will get better.. really.. I went to a thrift store last week.. and got a bunch of CDs .. one called U218 (I am a big U2 music fan for years.. since they first came on the scene back before everything was politics. a Song on there I had never noticed before called Elevation attracted my attention because of the music composition.. the lyrics are good too.. but it is the kind of song which one can listen too over and over again for about an hour.. while working or writing. you can find it yourself.. IT IS WORTH IT.. this is live from Milan Italy.. fun stuff.. enjoy

A live performance of Elevation, originally released by U2 in 2000 from their number 1 album All That You Can't Leave Behind. Taken from a concert at Milan's San Siro Stadium, during the European leg of the Vertigo tour on 21st May 2005.
I saw/heard the Stones in person six times. They were the greatest rock and roll band, cause they rehearsed for months in advance and when they hit the stage, they were one hundred percent on. Very professional.
Psychiatry is interesting. Do you know that p sychiatry was invented by the meds when the courts of europe demanded a way to incarcerate those who had committed no crime?
Yep. Those are the roots of "psychiatry". Psyche means soul.

Mike - My dad had an old circa 1952 green Chevy pick-up truck (it was his grand-dad's from the farm) that looks similar to your dream garden truck (altho it didn't look that faded out back in the day). It was his fishing/hunting truck & he'd throw his bird dog in the back & head out with my brother in tow. He really loved that ole truck.
Was such a struggle to shift it though & I do love manuals but that one had this long, shaky floor shifter that wobbled & wouldn't go into the gears very easily even after rehabbing it. Cussing didn't help. My mom finally sold it many years after dad's early death to a cousin who then sold it for parts. Sad story.
Similar to my dad's old pickup but all painted up & much too bright green & awful shiny looking.
I go over to this town called Port Townsend a few times a year and there is a truck exactly like that one rusting away. I love it. I always go for a walk and walk past the house just to look at it always tempted to knock on the door and see if they'd be interested in selling it.
At the end of your recording you mentioned Nicola Tesla, then your sudden indegestion? That dude had the recipe for free energy, then was maligned by the system.

Damn, great job Frank.
Ya, it's kinda funny how averting a near crisis makes you feel so fortunate. More fortunate than if it had never happened! Perspective
Perspective and perception!

Love, hugs and PERSEVERE yall!

Then it will be a mandatory nap.
I see a kip in my future today as well

I waited to long to see them. Now their tickets are $500. I could probably by every album they’ve ever made for $500
They're gone, daddy. They are crap now. You had to catch them in the seventies.
Once the outrageous corruptions set in deep....it's gone.
Funny, my wife has seen the Stones.
I took her to see The Who in 2006.
She said that The Who totally blew the Stones away.
Footnote: according to Pete Townshend, The Who doesn't rehearse because they wouldn't want to lose the spotinaity of the live performance.
Battle of the bands. A bunch of old guys going at it

And this truck is totally renovated, not old-looking or faded but says it has "ghost flames" in the paint.
https://classiccars.com/listings/view/1696281/1952-chevrolet-pickup-for-sale-in-o-fallon-illinois-62269 - Unfortunately, it's not only too glossy red but it's a whopping $46,000 price tag, too.
Good luck on finding your own old dream garden truck.

Hey Mike,
At the end of your recording you mentioned Nicola Tesla, then your sudden indegestion? That dude had the recipe for free energy, then was maligned by the system.
Yes. I’ve always been fascinated by him. We both have something in common, the word FREE.
