I grew up on the Central Coast of CA. KSLY radio. SLO. I won this album on a radio station giveaway. Played it on a hifi my dad built from a kit. At least 500 times. All the albums. Aerosmith. Styx. Elton and Billy. Doobie Brothers and Steve Miller. Purchased from paper route money. My brother, almost nobody knows that AMERICA.

Right on. Was listening to KFRC out of SF about that same time. Got the double live album in 76 or 77.

Me too!

I’m a 3rd generation San Franciscan (when it was awesome). My grandmother took me downtown to buy that record. I still have it at 61!

And I won’t step a foot in that Soddom and Gemorrah now.

My dad was born in Oakland in 36. He says his dad was stationed there for a spell with the Coast and Geodedic Survey (now NOAA). Before the Golden Gate and Bay Bridges were opened in 36, they had to take a ferry to get to SF.

Probably a pretty place in 36. Not safe there today. They do have a lot of bridges in that area.

Yeah crazy SF. My mom was a hippy in the late 60s early 70s. I was a hippy kid in a commune.

I was a big Sly and family fan when I was a kid. Loved Sly's performance at Woodstock.

Great Frampton links---as I'm listening, am watching our vaxxed to the max neighbor barely able to walk his dog going by on the sidewalk. He says after many tests, doctors are baffled, saying maybe an autoimmune disease? Yes, Something's Happening/has happened.......

I’ve seen Frampton four times! The last time was at Ironstone Winery in Murphys California 🥳🍷

I have so many memories from his music…bittersweet.
