I didn't realize back then how much the intro was a Zepplin borrow with some Rush and Yes homage thrown in...1982, graduated Highschool, my family was a 'folk and light pop only' kinda family. When my parents dropped me off first day at college, someone was 'blasting' music from one of the dorm room windows, (probably breaking some new small speakers) and my mother was so....horrified? 'those kids and their acid music' (her term) and shaking her head. Oh Mom.

When I was a kid I had one of this pocket Realistic radios that had batteries that lasted forever. I can't ever remember having to replace a battery. It was glued to my ear when I went to bed at night. I wish I still had that radio.

recently found a very damaged Westinghouse hand held, just turned it on, all crackely and AM only. It looks a bit like this, but pale green and not as cool....but cool for sure https://i.pinimg.com/originals/e0/ff/27/e0ff276786f1ed51cb8ea6993aa10eaa.jpg such a powerful speaker for such a small thing, like I heard coming out of my Dads bathroom, he liked his WJR in Detroit in the mornings. Funny what we remember.

I remember my transistor radio fondly! For some reason when I think of it I always remember listening to Steve Miller's Big Old Jet Air Liner in my front yard. I think I was maybe 7 or 8

Motown and Hard Rock were my favorites. Truth be told I really love almost all music. Grunge and nasty rap excluded.

I can't do rap either. Some grunge is ok. I was at this bar in downtown Seattle and a grunge band showed up and started playing. The energy was intense.

I ran a recorded session the other night and a voice came through at time point 28:38 that sounded like those cyborgs in that YouTube video. All the voice said was, "Good day. You can hear me." I plan on working on it today to see if I can find anything at a lower frequency.

Lol! I am 200 miles away from Toronto now. The store is long closed. Owner got mixed up with some shady Greek fellas and acquired a nasty little powder habit 😂

I have a guitar pick from Rik. Not autographed, but it's embossed with

*RIKS PIK*

I do have a Kim Mitchell autographed Max Webster tablature book I would sell if you don't mind it being personalized with my name 😉
