I saw an "act of God " here last year. Drining through the Applegate Valley...so beautiful...one day going west, I encountered in the morning the fires being put out on a mountainside behind the Red Lily Farm. I slowed down to take in the entire scene...pissed off the idiots behind me.
An hour later, waiting in a check out, I mentioned that folks oughta keep their gas tanks filled as disaster capitalism season had begun. A young woman with her daughter behind me, both so lovely, said "I live just across the road, want to see a video"" Of course I did. I had been told they had started from lightning strikes. The video was of the fires burning, early, and there were three fires....get this....all the same size and intensity and burn progression, all threee on the same altitude of the same mountainside, and all of them equidistant from the other. Nice. An act of god.
Oh, there just happened to be a dried hillside of another mountain facing that one at an angle, and at the top of the strangely greenless hilllside two 5H towerrs. I saw two last wee, I recall only one then. At least one then. Not sure another wasn't put up since.

Neglecting land management by allowing non-native dry grasslands and brush to get overgrown, restricting water to the firefighters die the “social equity concerns”, refusing to use public warning systems because “ people may rush INTO SMOKE & FIRE instead of away from it” blocking roads from providing egress for fleeing residents, painfully slow and almost nonexistent relief from FEMA. They may not have started it, but they sure did everything possible to propagate and increase the death and destruction it seems. They are riding the Climate Change train all the way on this one! Guess who will come out on top at the end? Of course the Monsters who are intent on owning everything and subjecting the world (or what’s left of it after their plans run the course) to their global totalitarian panopticon surveillance state... you know utopia.
