But, the image of the new virus suggests to me what an agglutination of mis-folded proteins might possibly look like. I sure hope that they aren't suggesting that BSE is air-born.
I think even in metric Canada ‘social distancing’ (who in hell came up with that retarded phrase), it was referenced as 6 feet (or 2 metres). I’ll have to find one of the retarded signs they erected at highway rest stops (still there) and take a pic. They also love the number 3.
I met a young East Indian fellow last week who was up in our very small town from the lower mainland, BC. He was doing contract work for Telus, the company that is apparently bringing high speed internet to our town (I’ll still likely be on satellite where I live). He had this low riding sporty looking car and was having trouble with the gravel roads. He turned up at my friend’s house as he’d been making queries as to where he might rent an ATV, and was steered in our direction. My friend, who is quite deaf, kept telling this fellow to come closer so he could hear him better. I ended up talking with him instead, and quickly noticed something funny. If I took a step toward him, he would immediately step back. We were outside. So, of course being the evil person I am, I kept trying to take a step toward him as I was demonstrating the ATV and my electric bike which I offered at a lower daily rate (he was looking for a deal). I’m laughing in my head, wanting to ask him if he’s ok. I asked him if he had a helmet as he should be wearing one, and he said no (another step back). He wants to ride an ATV or an electric bike on gravel roads frequented by loaded logging trucks and drunk townie yahoos, where a bear or a moose or a deer might pop out of the bushes any given moment, WITHOUT a helmet, and he’s worried about me getting too close to him OUTSIDE?!? WTF?!? At least he wasn’t wearing a mask. I’ve coined this odd behaviour ‘the Covid shuffle.’ Seriously just brain damaged weird!
