Great gift! Ron's and my friend Jack is a real lumberjack, as was his father. They lived in northern Minnesota, not too far from Bemidji, home of Paul Bunyan and Babe the Blue Ox, and not too far from where my dad and his family were born and raised in a small MN town. He lives here in Atascadero now.
My grandfather was a logger in Port Alberni, Vancouver Island BC in the 30s. He broke his back rolling logs on the river in his 20s. He recovered the ability to walk, but could never work like that again and turned to cash crop and cattle farming in Saskatchewan. ❤️
Yeah. Easier job? 🤣 Imagine what farming was like back then in bumfuck Canada. He used mules and horses still until they could afford one of those newfangled tractors.
Those chaps must have been strong but they don't actually have the gym bodies of a lot of metrosexuals.
I don't imagine that you will leave your saws out in the weather.
Might make a useful weapon when they come to get us.
If you saw them coming.
🤣
Someone I was reading the other day hypothesised that those currently asleep are lacking a few reincarnations.
That's why it is hopeless trying to inform them.
I know that sounds a bit superior, but hey, we need an explanation for the zombies.
As good as any theory, eh?
It's not even a *conspiracy* theory.

My old posted pictures show very fit men / young men. I can't imagine attempting to cut one of those monster trees down.
Loved those pics!

Polish up that big saw and see what the value is. Or, just enjoy the look it has now, such character and let tell you some stories. 🤔
I'm leaving it as is. I just found one on Craigslist for $695
Sweet catch!!!
I was a gleam in My grandparents' eyes... LOL!
Maybe it's best we don't know where we were in previous lifetimes.
There weren't as many people back then, so which species have we swapped out?
