War is hell. It wears on you. We need to escape it from time to time.

Here's my escape place

Dr. Lawrie published an article this morning on taking a digital detox. I did this in 2021. I took two months off. I primarily was burnt out on graphs and charts, and every time I heard the word covid or vaccine I wanted to puke. At this point do we really need any more graphs or charts? We know its bad.

During my furlough from this war I didn’t listen to any news, read any papers, and only turned on my computer to check my emails once a week. I didn’t say the words Covid, vaccine, jab, Dr. Fauci or anything related to the past two years. I buried my head in my garden and all the animal life it attracts. The garden has a kind of rustic cowboy theme to it. I watched a lot of old western movies when I was a kid. A lot of ghost movies too. Featured driftwood came off the beach in Moclips Washington. There’s some fantastic history there.

4/22/22—We got pounded with rain for two months.

6/8/22—Night time in the garden. I’m in the garden all hours of the day. Owls usually call me out early mornings.

6/8/22—Fountain in the garden box. I gave it a new paint scheme this year.

6/8/22—Evening picture.

6/16/22—Things are starting to grow.

6/23/22—Walkway to garden. My half-ass attempt to block the rabbits. Didn’t work.

6/24/22—My John F. Kennedy bloomed on the announced decision to overturn Roe v Wade. Champagne in the garden that night, tears too.

7/8/22—Paver pathway. Old 1800’s wagon wheel.

I love dragonfly’s in the garden.

7/15/22—Garden is rocking it.

Birdhouse bar is located across the hot-tub. The tub looks out to the garden. I have no idea where that light is coming from on my beer.

Don’t ever add this wine to your bucket list. God awful. But the beets and carrots are coming in nice. The rusted plow is a 1909-1925 Planet Jr. plow minus the handles.

7/17/22—One of my garden crows is waiting for me to come out and entertain them.

They don’t give up easily, and they’ll bring friends.

1850’s Amish rocking chair and a 1909 authentic prisoner ball and chain, 18lb ball. They do make a 50lb ball and I am currently searching for one. Fauci won’t go anywhere.

I know several people I’d love to fasten that ball and chain around their ankle. This is my escape from the war we all find ourselves in. It’s also the most haunted garden on planet earth and the only garden named Ghost Gardens.
