a cougar tells me I'm an artist

Once I was out to dinner and sitting across from me was a lady who was around 15 years my senior. We were in an Italian restuaruant. She was most interesting, world traveler, business owner, and once owned an art gallery. We were sharing a bottle of red wine while waiting for our meal to arrive. I guess the wine was kind of getting to her because she said, “I’m old enough to be your cougar.” I laughed. I stopped the cougar thing back when I was 20 something. I was in my late 50’s then.

She told me she has seen my art. “You mean my comics,” I replied?

She told me she seen my rustic art work that I had done. Primarily the rustic clocks I made. She told me she dealt a lot with rustic artists. She liked all of my work. She said it was real good. I called the waiter over. “Waiter don’t serve her anymore alcohol. She’s had too much to drink.”

Here’s how I became a rustic artist. A November wind storm hit as they always do in November and it blew over my cedar fence. I just decided to make things out of it. Suddenly, I’m an artist.

Weird Double doors. It took longer to hang it properly then it did to build. Behind it are a washer and dryer.

I became a little possessed building them. I pawned off a door to anyone who would take one.

Last one the Kraken house build. The roof ridge. A real bitch. Don’t try this. However I did give it the water leak test and it didn’t leak.

Sad story to my cougar. In December of 2020 apparently she caught Covid and got real sick. She did recover though and took the vaccine as soon as it was available. That’s the real sad part to the story. If your fence blows down just make something. You’d be surprised who likes it.
