THE DREADED O WORD

I was in the Chrisitian church for 10 years. The word occult was routinely spewed out from the pulpit and many were labeled as occultist. We all assumed we knew the meaning of the word. It must be evil. It must mean demonic. It sounds scary so we’d better avoid ever being labeled an occultist. One day I decided to do a little research on the word. Stripping it down, it simple means things hidden. Let that churn awhile and disperse it where it applies. Is truth hidden? If you seek it, are you an occultist? What if you’re attacked by demonic entities and you battle them and win without any intervention from a pedophile Catholic priest, are you an occultist?  

The definition has changed drastically since my last exhaustive research into a word used in our church to label people who opposed our faith. There are scary words associated with it now, black magic, witchcraft, sorcery, voodoo, satan, and demons. Scary isn’t it? It’s intended to scare. If there weren’t good scary words to use on Sunday morning people might not be afraid and might not attend service. Fear brings them back to the offering plate. Are angelic entities visible?

Jimmy Akin wrote a brilliant article in 2020 breaking down the word occult. He reveals what my research revealed back sometime in the 80’s. The word once just meant things hidden.

And the one doing the hiding things was God. Designed so his creation would seek and find answers.

Does this mean that anyone seeking the answers is an occultist? I think we can go there.

Jimmy concludes his article:

When I started my garden talks and bringing out my journey in the spirit world I knew the O word was coming. It came after my mother’s day garden talk. I received an email and this person said that I was a likeable guy who took a strong stand against the vax but I’m an occultist. There it is—the O word.

I am a researcher into all things hidden. If things are revealed to me I search deeper. I don’t fear the Supernatural world. In seven years it hasn’t harmed me. I’m more afraid of humans and their fabricated fear then I am of the Supernatural world as strange as it is.

Universe was very aware this email was coming and countered it on the same day.

Arriving about 15 minutes after I read the email was more fan mail. Keep it coming. All hate mail will be returned to sender assuming they got the address wrong. I will leave the name off but she is free to identify herself if she likes.

We synch’d up perfectly with Universe. I’d say it’s a miracle. I call these coincidences God like coincidences. It is from a Super Subscriber. And, I do believe we are the only Substack that has Super Subscribers. VRR waaaaaay out in front setting trends.

I stared at the card awhile before opening it. I wanted to feel what the Super Subscriber felt when she selected the card. There was other choices I’d assume but she selected this one. I open the card.

“Do not ever………”

WOW!!!!! God like coincidence. I’d just finished informing my wife that her husband has been labeled an occultist. She laughed. She doesn’t know the old definition, “things hidden,” only the new meaning, black magic, witchcraft, chanting and dancing naked in a garden while howling at the moon.

My wife said that I have some amazing subscribers. I corrected her—Super Subscribers. I told her this is why I think I should cap it off at the magic 500 number. Keep it Mike-ro. She said, “Whatever Mike-ro.”

I am kind of feeling that 500 vibe. Maybe the 500 vibe is coming from Universe. I need to explore this more. While I explore this I’ll be dropping the subscription and the UPGRADE TO PAID off future posts. However, this will not hinder the VRR FULL experience for my subscribers.  A helicopter woke me up along with an owl. I went out with my recorder and decided to talk about the O word. While out there I suddenly forgot what the person wrote. I recovered and was able to complete the session.
