I spent Halloween working on a cabinet I’m building for my wife. She found this cabinet she wanted to buy for our laundry room. Solid white built out of unknown materials from Wetwang China. I took one look at it and said, “Oh hell no.”
I have a half a garage filled with beautiful aged cedar planks that are over 30 years old and don’t want to end up in a landfill or fire pit. They want to be turned into something rustically cool. Beautiful if you twist your head sideways.
I came to a stopping point and settle into wasting the evening away sipping red wine. My wife informed me that Teri Garr died. I looked her up. She was the beautiful quirky woman that Hollywood kept propping up in various movies like Young Frankenstein—”It’s alive.” Now it’s dead.
