The chair

I love old rocking chairs. Who built it? Who has sat on it? What was its journey to get to me?

The seat is two pieces dovetailed together. Amazing.

In machining there are dovetail cutters making it easy, but I have no idea how they do it in wood, by hand. I might try and see if I can do it. I have plenty of scrap wood around.

I’m sitting in this chair for this talk.

I’ll post the other talk later today. Maybe. Doubt it. It could happen.

We picked up a new straw man subscriber yesterday without a subscription button. This generated an idea. Make it extremely difficult to subscribe to the VRR. Go here, go there, jump over this, dodge that, sign your name in all uppercase and then you get to be a free subscriber to the VRR.

Other Substacks have multiple experiences. Their basic Substack experience is FREE and you might not be allowed to comment. Their full Substack experience costs you money. At the VRR it’s free. It’s just the FULL experience 24/7 three hundred sixty five days a year. I find it easier to manage.
