SEATTLE PLANE CRASH--mechanical failure or heart failure?
what we think we don't know so far--update bottom of page
“Striker, listen, and you listen close: flying a plane is no different than riding a bicycle, just a lot harder to put baseball cards in the spokes.”—Rex Kramer
There’s a man who posted a video two days after the Northwest Seaplane nose dived into the Puget Sound killing everyone onboard, and he claims he has all the answers before they’ve even pulled the plane out of the water. His name is Dan Gryder. In his professionally crafted video he made just two days after the crash he has all the mechanical records on the plane, but even more surprising is he has the seat assignments for everyone on board.
His youtube channel is called probable cause however, in this video it could be called, “This is the cause.”
Last week I sent Dan an email asking him three questions.
1. Who released the mechanical records of the plane to him?
2. Who released the seat assignment names to him?
3. Does he have any idea why the Coast Guard would tweet out the flight destination as Seattle International Airport?
No reply.
Today I commented on his video—kind of strange my post goes under someone who posted eight days ago.
Here is the seat assignment Dan is showing in his video.
The reason I asked Dan who created this list of names above is because four of them are spelled wrong—Mickell should be Mickel, Hilti should be Hilty, Meera should be Mera. I doubt NW Seaplanes would send that out with the names spelled wrong. Also, I find it odd that Luke would sit so far away from his wife. The two people on board who boarded alone are Joanne and Gabby. You would think one of them would be the one to sit next to pilot Winters.
For some reason Dan believes that people are going to hate on him for giving his analysis on what happened. Why? It’s just his opinion. I think what he might be saying is anyone who challenges his opinion is a hater. Am I a hater because I inquire?
8:32 Dan says, “You look at the data. I can tell you right now this airplane hit the water so hard. Jason didn’t do it. You lost your elevator. You lost your trim tab. You lost your servo. You lost something. You lost pitch control. Is all that happened here.” Done. Investigation is complete according to Dan Gryder. Dan says the NTSB is going to take three years to figure out what went wrong but he figured it out in two days with the plane buried under 200’ of water.
Dan leads us down a mechanical failure pathway. What if Jason had a medical crisis? What if Jason suddenly died? If a pilot suddenly dies pushes the yoke forward will the plane do a vertical dive into the water? Dan never mentions anything about a possible medical crisis. He says, “Jason happen to not get lucky at the office today. This plane just fell apart and that’s all that happened.” He has 1,088 comments and many are calling him a hero. I was once called a hero for being a bus driver during a fake pandemic. Everyone’s a hero now.
One of the reasons Dan thinks he’s such an expert on airplane crashes is because he crashes planes. “Why anyone would let Dan Gryder near an airplane is beyond me.”
According to the avweb.com Dan has kind of a history of quickly figuring out how a plane crashed. The writer thinks he’s the worst.
He writes, “inevitable realization is that there are so many truly dumb ways to crash an airplane that it can give you pause every time you call “Prop clear” or step from the jetway.”
“So that’s why I get a little frustrated with the rush to judgment by armchair pundits who pontificate on the “possible cause” of crashes literally before the smoke clears. And the more mysterious the accident, the more numerous the theories become. When they’re transmitted at the speed of social media, they become fact before anyone has actually determined their truth.”
In 2009 Dan was arrested and charged with aggravated assault. It appears Dan was driving a car across a runway. When police arrived, he gave them a false name. He then boarded a plane, started it up and threatened to run over their cars. Back up was called and police flooded the area. Dan then taxied to the end of the runway and demanded fuel. He wasn’t provided any. He taxied back to the parking area where he was arrested. Article here.
Dan’s aviation peers think he’s the worst at analyzing a plane crash and the worst at flying a plane, I hardly think Dan Gryder is a reliable source on our plane crash in Seattle. Dan said he would pull his video after a couple of days and we are on day 11. I think Dan is an attention whore and does these videos to pump his channel. So, what we think we don’t know so far is Dan doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about.
Update: I had lunch with a retired flight controls engineer today. He paid. I asked him if he has been following this crash. He said yes. I asked him what happened. He said he has only been on two investigations where a plane went straight vertical and on both of them they were suicide cases. I asked him if I could find them on the internet and he said he believed I could. I said, “What if it all goes to shit, can it go vertical.” He said, “highly unlikely.” He said what the pilot will first feel is heavy vibration. He said there are a lot of forces in play here. This would have given Jason enough time to put in a distress call. So we can rule out mechanical. So did Jason Winters commit suicide or suddenly die? If he was vaccinated and suddenly died will they admit it? Back down the rabbit hole.

Dan’s video.
I noticed the comments on his video are ALL so positive and attaboy’ish. He is not getting any pushback, of course he will leave it up! If I hadn’t read your report and I only saw his video, I wouldn’t know the background on him. Thanks for doing this! And of course no one is asking about a possible vaccine reaction.
They would NEVER admit to a pilot experiencing “sudden adult death syndrome” while flying... Never. But I’m with you that the jabs nearly everyone was coerced into getting is the most probable cause. Dan sounds like a real piece of work. I’m not defending him, but I think your comment on his video probably appears under the 8-day old one because he pinned the 8-day old one, probably days before you left yours. Let us know if he ever responds. In the meantime, we know he can’t be trusted.
