Sad death at the VRR

After my last post my fairly new Mac suddenly died. R.I.P with all my files. I have a Mac expert working on it but I’m not digging his facial expressions or his side comments.

I’ll switch to my $200.00 HP laptop that I hate for now and see if I can use it to write. It has a brand new copy of Word that has this nasty habit of making paragraphs suddenly disappear. Have I ever told you I hate technology and that I believe it is a trap? Do you know you can’t even apply for a job anymore without a computer and multiple email addresses? You can’t even open a bank account.

I was a computer programmer for 17 years and the last few years I developed a hatred for computers. I wouldn’t even touch my personal computer when I came home. At work I’d be working on a program and have to leave the company every 30 minutes and go outside and go for a walk. I’d run into my manager walking the opposite direction. Sometimes I’d wave.

I am a little suspicious of this deep computer crash. The timing is there. I was working on an article titled, IS THE VRR SHADOW BANNED? A thought from some subscribers who aren’t receiving email notifications is there. I asked Substack because I’m only getting about a 29% subscriber readership. What are the other 71% doing? Substack says they DO NOT shadow ban but admits there might be a computer glitch on their end causing 71% of my subscribers to never receive email notifications. Their solution is to contact all of your subscribers and have them un-subscribe and re-subscribe and see if that fixes their glitch. I’m not in the mood. Fuck it. I’ll just write for the 29%. The VRR will be a little light for awhile.
