You might have noticed we at the VRR are kind of into music. I don’t have any juicy Fleetwood Mac stories. I’ve never seen them in concert, but I loved them. They were a prominent band in my teenage years. I hated it when they let Bill Clinton use their song, “Don’t stop thinking about tomorrow.”
I’m not pinning the vax on Christie. Not at her age. Sex, drugs and rock’n’roll take their toll on your health, unless you’re Kieth Richards. Out of all the band members Christie was my favorite.
When I was in California visiting my cousin her husband and I had a good discussion on Fleetwood Mac. We primarily talked about the song, “Black Magic Woman.” Everyone thinks Santana wrote the song. Just yesterday I played it. A screenshot of my history folder.
I’m not sure Christie’s future husband John was a part of the original band when the song was written. Some sources seem to indicate he was.
I find this version far better than Santana’s.
In the video songbird it’s her eyes, WOW, and I’m a bird guy. This year I had more songbirds than the previous five years combined. I don’t know why. Enjoy the spirit world Christie. Fleetwood Mac would have never been the great band they were without you.
Nice tribute!
I don't know... Some of these badass, rebellious hippies were the first to comply with government mandates...
